Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X to be launched in July

We told you already about the arrival of Evolution series to India and soon we will see Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X on Indian roads. Mitsubishi has decided to sell the car in Indian market through the dealership network already in place thanks to its alliance with Hindustan Motors.

It is expected that presently the company will aim at selling 100 numbers of cars in India. Like most high end cars that have made their way into the country, the Evo X will be imported and sold as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). Mitsubishi will have this legend available to deep pocketed Indian motoring enthusiasts from the next month on.

2011 Hyundai Sonata earns Top Safety Pick rating.

The Korean carmaker Hyundai was once considered ‘cheap’ rather than an inexpensive option. But after years of constant improvements Hyundai is one of the safest choices for an entry level car. Hyundai’s 2011 Sonata is no different.

Sonata has head-turning looks inspired by Mercedes-Benz CLS. It features a powerful yet fuel efficient 2.4-liter direct injected four-cylinder. It gives us 12.8km/L on highways. Now, the Sonata can wear another badge of honor, as it has just earned the rating of Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

Aston Martin coming to India.

The James Bond car, Aston Martin is coming soon to scorch the Indian roads.

With the model for India yet to be decided, negotiations are on with the local dealers for the formal launch of the car, said an official spokesman.

Aston Martin was founded in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford and from 1994 until 2007 Aston Martin was part of the Ford Motor Company. On 12 March 2007, it was purchased by a joint venture company, co-owned by Investment Dar and Adeem Investment of Kuwait and English businessman John Sinders. Under the new management, developing markets have become a priority, with the company adding dealers in China, Russia and West Asia.

BMW launches limited edition Gran Turismo.

BMW India launched its limited edition Gran Turismo for the Indian market priced at Rs 63 lakh (ex-showroom Bangalore). The limited edition of the Gran Turismo comes with a 3.01 litres diesel engine and only 100 units of the car will be available. It will be brought as a completely built unit from the company’s plants overseas.

Auto Expo 2010 – Honda’s new small car concept revealed.

Honda Siel Cars India uncovered their new small concept car today at Auto Expo 2010 in New Delhi. The New Small Concept is both compact and rather bland – particularly when compared to Honda’s recent stylistic endeavors – but the five-door hatch is sure to find budget-minded buyers when it arrives in both India and Thailand in 2011.

Nissan 370Z launch expected in January 2010.

Japanese auto maker Nissan is planning to launch its iconic sports car 370Z next month in India as the company looks to expand portfolio in the country. “The new sports car model 370Z will be introduced in India from January and shall be third in the series of fully imported cars launched here, after Teana and X-Trail,” a company spokesperson said. The company has plans to introduce four models in India
under its fully imported category cars, and is yet to decide on the fourth model, he said.

Toyota teases us with shots of new hybrid concept vehicle

Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. will stage the world debut of a new dedicated hybrid concept vehicle during the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The vehicle will be revealed during a news conference held on Monday, January 11th in the Riverview Ballroom at COBO Hall.
